As a Licensed Independent Social Worker, I focus on using a strengths based approach to help guide and support individuals through challenging journeys. I believe that identifying your strengths will lead to long term progress and success. I received my Masters in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University with a concentration in Drugs and Alcohol. I also received my undergrad at Bowling Green State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Social Work (GO FALCONS)! My educational background has only increased my passion for helping people of all ages and backgrounds improve their lives. With over 8 years of experience working with families and children focusing on de-escalation, crisis management and co-occurring diagnoses, I am adept at partnering with people to solve problems. I enjoy helping families and individuals navigate crisis and put plans together to overcome the root cause of the crisis long term. Through my career I have gained experience working with foster parents, relative (non-parent) caregivers, birth families, youth in foster care, adults and children. I enjoy utilizing motivational interviewing, play therapy, and talk therapy to support individuals in overcoming barriers and making changes to their lives. I pride myself on providing a safe and non- judgmental space for clients to process though difficult experiences. I fully believe that with the right combination of humor and empathy, we can work together to reach your goals. Let’s work together to move through challenges both in session and out while you’re on your therapeutic journey.
